Dr. William Stanton Principal
Hello! I am honored to serve as Principal of West Elementary and to continue offering a positive, supportive, and high-achieving learning environment for all students. As Principal, I am committed to fostering both the academic achievement and social-emotional growth of our students while supporting our dedicated staff in delivering high-quality instruction each day. I earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago and remain dedicated to applying research-based educational practices that help all students succeed.
Outside of West Elementary, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four daughters. I have a passion for the outdoors and enjoy fishing, hiking, boating, and spending time at the lake with my family.
At West, everything we do is “For the W.” This mindset reflects our commitment to creating meaningful opportunities and celebrating successes for our students, staff, and families. I look forward to building on our accomplishments and continuing to create an environment where every student can thrive.
I am excited for the year ahead and the many opportunities it will bring for our students, staff, and school community. Go Wildcats!
Josh Minsley Assistant Principal
Hi! I'm excited to serve as your Assistant Principal at West Elementary. As the Assistant Principal, I help students solve problems, make sure the school runs smoothly, and collaborate with teachers so that all students learn and grow. I originally graduated from Michigan State University and am a huge Spartans fan. When I'm not at West Elementary, I love to spend time with my wife and two boys. I enjoy riding my bike, cooking, gardening, and fixing things around the house. At West Elementary, we believe that “West is best,” and I look forward to partnering with students, staff, and families this year to ensure that we live up to that promise each and every day.
